Can
I access my website without the www.?
Yes.
You can access your website with or without the www.

Do
you offer dial-up Internet access?
No,
you must acquire your own Internet Service Provider (ISP)
if you wish to access the internet. We would suggest a provider
that includes an SMTP service.

How
do I use CPanel and all of its features?
AWS
includes an introduction to CPanel and its key features
with each applicable new account. If you need further instruction
and want to learn about additional features, please refer
to CPanel’s online help site. It will take you step-by-step
through many of its features and functions, including screen
shots and icon recognition graphics. To access the help
site, go to the following address: http://www.cpanel.net/docs/cp/.
Please remember that your hosting package may restrict your
access to certain features and functions. If you have any
further questions regarding CPanel, there is an enormous
amount of continuously updated information through their
forum: http://forums.cpanel.net.
If neither of these options have answered your questions,
please contact
us for assistance.

How
do I manage my email accounts?
In
your CPanel account, you can add, edit, and remove POP email
accounts. You can also set up aliases to forward mail and
auto responders to automatically send a response to messages
sent to a certain account. If you desire, AWS will help
you set up your initial email address(es) free of charge
when you signup for service.

How
do I set up my domain name through AWS servers?
To
change your domain name server to AWS, please give us a
call toll free at 1-800-679-1686. We can help you through
this relatively easy process at no charge. If you are familiar
with domain name server assignments, point your domain name
to the following DNS: Primary - ns1.athletewebservices.com;
Secondary - ns2.athletewebservices.com.

I've
lost my CPanel account password. Can you give it to me?
Sure.
If you has lost your CPanel account username or password,
please email
us a request using your primary email account we have
in our records for your AWS account. In the email, state
your AWS account number and your account's domain name.
An AWS representative will email you the requested information.

How
do I FTP my files to your server?
In
order for you to transfer your files from local PC to an
AWS server, you will need to use a File Transport Protocal
(FTP) client. Simply follow the instructions below to FTP
to an AWS server using your FTP client. If you are FTPing
from WYSIWYG web publishing software such as Dreamweaver
or FrontPage, please refer to its own FTP instructions.
FTP
instructions:
1.
Launch your FTP client.
2. Create a new FTP profile (site), and name it whatever
you like.
3. Specify the "host name" or "IP address"
by entering the IP address provided in your account welcome
letter.
4. Enter your Cpanel username (provided in your account
welcome letter).
5. Enter your Cpanel password where it says "password."
(provided in your account welcome letter).
6. Enter "public_html" where it asks for an "initial
path" or "remote site folder" (found under
"Startup" tab in some FTP clients).
7. Click the button to make the connection.
8. Once some folders appear in the FTP client's display,
simply select the files from your PC and place into the
desired folder of your FTP client.
9. The files are now copied to the server.
IMPORTANT:
ALL your webpages, graphics, audio clips, scripts etc. MUST
go into the "public_html" directory in the root
of your server to be viewable on the web.
NOTE:
No other fields need to be filled in for this to work, only
the designated fields from above are required. Each FTP
client may have its own terminology. If you are having problems
making an FTP connection, please contact
us.
To
view the files on the web, simply type your IP address or
associated domain name and the file you would like to view
into your browser.

I
can't login to my CPanel account. What's wrong?
It is possible you are entering the wrong username or password.
Please double-check these in your AWS account welcome letter.
If you are entering these correctly, it could be a network
problem. If you think this is the case, please report
it to us immediately.

My
website appears to be down. What's wrong?
First,
check to make sure your domain name has been transferred
before you attempt to find your website using your domain
name. If your domain name has not been fully registered
or transferred, you will not be able to view your website
through it. Instead, you will need to use your IP address
or unique AWS account address (for this information, please
refer to the login email you were sent after signup). If
your domain has been transferred, it is possible that it
could be a network problem. If you think this is the case,
please report
it to us immediately.
